They used to come close when the still had UK coming in but they stupidly don't play anymore. Both schools would rather play MAC or FCS games instead.

That's probably smart on both schools part at this point. With the money they get from their conf payouts they are probably far more concerned with avoiding an L than getting another 10K or 20K butts in the stadium. Neither team has been in a spot to jockey for a CFP spot where SOS is important but until recently, being and staying bowl eligible or getting to a "better" bowl has been a consistent concern
