I might be making a wrong assumption but I figure most voters don't watch the games in any detail. They look at final scores/margin of victory. Also, that Miami team just beat Northwestern on the road. I get that NW appears to be a bottom dweller B1G team but it isn't like Miami is a FCS program. Anywho, a lot of opportunities for the Cats to move up in the polls if they keep winning.

I don't even know if they look at that.

Pitt struggled to beat Rhode Island this weekend. 24-14 at half; 45-24 final score.

They also struggled to beat a terrible Western Michigan team last weekend (20-13 at end of 3rd quarter, 34-13 final score).

Yet the voters put Pitt in at the tail end of the poll this week.

But doesn't that speak to my point? Final scores of 45-24 and 34-13 don't insinuate a struggle to win.

3-touchdown wins over a bad FCS team and a bad MAC team is a bad sign to me.

Giving up 24 points to a bad FCS team is a really bad sign to me.

WMU is usually decent, but they're 1-3 and got blown out by San Jose State 34-6 last week.

It would be one thing if the FCS win was over Delaware or Montana or North Dakota State. But Rhode Island is typically awful. In the last 10 years, they've had more 10-loss seasons (4) than winning seasons (2).
