If I were an NCAA coach in today's world, I would have adopted the Murphy-Rasnick model long ago. That model favors immediate transfers over HS kids and now with the portal, it fits even better into today's college sports.

I honestly doubt that a "diamond in the rough" like Maxx Crosby spends his college career at EMU today. Ask Ball St about their much less talented Carson Steele. That said, we did not exactly strike gold in the portal this year apparently.
