Song of the south is a decent suggestion. It's a song that most people will be familiar with and is quite catchy.

I think part of the motivation was to pay tribute to and express thanks to Birmingham. Unfortunately the chosen song is probably the least negative song written about Birmingham out there.

That’s exactly the point.

As for the song being boring, look up the most popular stadium anthem in the world. You’ll Never Walk Alone is a cheesy 60s song by Gerry and the Pacemakers. It is not a hype song. It’s boring. But when a stadium full of people sing it, it’s awesome.

How stupid is “Hotty Toddy, gosh almighty, who the hell are we? Flem flam bim bam, Ole Miss, by damn”? Yet, when 60,000 people do it, it’s pretty impressive.

If 20-40k Blazer fans sang this chorus, it would be cool. You need some imagination to see it until we do it.

One thing missing from all of that is that those traditions all sprung up naturally and organically. This is *never* going to take off being forced down anyone's throats
