if we just up the budget by 50% and took out all the main hitter and replaced those with programs we complained about playing for the last 3 years. That today with a 50% budget increase those numbers will now all of a sudden increase to cover that extra cost. And do that in a time when more and more people are not spending their money on what we are selling.

I would fire that person on the spot. Does anyone else see it that way and try to set aside your fandom when answering that question? As a businessman this does not make any sense to me...

This is one of the biggest problems the decision makers are facing. They have convinced themselves of this for a few years, and now have to add some of these teams to help stop the bleeding.
