UAB, Charlotte, UTSA, Marshall to AAC. Matt Browns Twitter BEST “educated guess”. If you know Matt he is very connected and knowledgeable, he knows something to be posting this. It’s probably gonna be announced this weekend.
Shocked not to see FAU actually
He said it is his educated guess. Not a bombshell.
But poop said...
How did Marshall get paid? Other 3 do not surprise me of course, at least have the money. Surprised Marshall can bump up their budget that much in such a short amount of time..
Lets fling something to the wall and see if it sticks.
I hope he’s wrong. That conference would not be a good fit for us.
clt says that would be a big upgrade for aac soccer

I am mixed on it. Why do you say that ? $$$$$

Man, that would suck for ODU. We have no close rivals, and losing Marshall and Charlotte would make our closest conference rival in freaking Nashville and Bowling Green KY. Both over 700 miles away. That would be completely unsustainable. Would make a lot more sense if it was ODU instead of UTSA.

That's even worse than us.
clt would prefer odu over utsa
This was CUSA 2.0 and todays AAC if this post is correct

This is what Marshall made playing every one of those schools in CUSA 2.0. Now can anyone tell me how a school is going to make up the difference in a increased budget cost playing those same schools 10 years later when attendance/donations are dropping? Not just Marshall but that would go for any school needing to increase their budget by 15 to 20 million dollars. Any person with half a brain knows what the AAC gets today from TV dollars. That number will most likely drop to half or less when you take out all the names and add in Marshall, UAB, UTSA, UNCC (any other combination)

We have fairly low student subsidy for a G5. The people in charge may decide to subsidize more and the American will give a bigger conference distribution by several million.

If this is true it would not be announced on a weekend. Furthermore, can you provide provide a link to his tweet please?
Would suck for FAU to not go along with marshall and UAB. But it's Matt brown who doesn't know anything.

He was all in on air force and Colorado state before

If true, Memphis must be sick to its stomach. 03-puke

Not even remotely close to being a bombshell....unless you're a Marshall fan I guess.
