So... y'all want the SBC to keep growing their brand and keep garnering national respect...

But then you want to add FCS teams, all while the Sun Belt has been working hard to try and establish itself as a premier G5 conference... to the point we could take teams from CUSA...

Yet fans here will settle for Sam Houston State. I just don't get it.

Sam Houston State has a 12,500-seat stadium, and averages around 6,000 in attendance... and 9,000 on a really good day.

It's not like we're talking about another App State or Georgia Southern, who both had larger stadiums, a large following, and were already averaging 20,000 attendance.

I agree we got to look past the FCS and go for legitimate FBS schools.

Let’s do Southern Miss and UTSA west, and Marshall, and either WKU, or ODU in the east, the only FCS school that I think deserves an invite is JMU, I would argue that JMU would be a better add then ODU,
No to Missouri Stare, no to Jacksonville St, no to Sam Houston, no to all FCS school besides JMU!

When we added App St. GS, Troy they deserved an invite. we took our chances with Georgia St., Texas St., don’t be offended Georgia St. and Texas St. fans.

JMU is the only FCS school in our footprint that has the history and fan support to make the jump. Like you say, we don't need project schools with "potential." There are a number of those schools in G5 leagues that haven't reached that potential so far.
