Hunt - TCU, 2 years, 5 catches for 18 yards
Hayes - Kentucky, 2 years, 5 catches for 59 yards
Combs - Iowa, 2 years, 0 catches for 0 yards
Waleed - Boise, 2 years, 0 catches for 0 yards

4 transfers, 8 years on a D1 roster, 10 catches for 77 yards.

Their running back transfer should light it up...

Johnnie Lang - Iowa State, 4 years. 2020 3 rushes...2 (TWO) yards

Oh, and Butch Davis. Off to the Access Bowl we go 03-lmfao

Butch Davis is the head coach of Florida International University.
I believe you meant Butch Jones, of "5-star heart" fame.
In other words...the Josh Pastner of college football.

Pastner ?---Is that the guy that took us to our last few tournaments ?

he's also the coach that started the downward trend for Memphis basketball.
Memphis recruits were starting to go elsewhere...or did you forget?
He got a fair shake here. The job pressure wore on him and wore him down.
He was advised to hire a veteran former head coach to help him on the bench.
His first year in Memphis he had done that with Coach Willis... but he would not do that again for whatever reason.
He has done it at Georgia tech...and lo and behold they won the ACC tourney.
Granted they were given some HUGE breaks due to Covid, you still have to take advantage of a break when you are presented with one.

I'm glad to see him sort of doing well...I think his job will get quite a bit easier without Roy Williams or Coach K roaming the sidelines in the ACC.

He inherited a depleted roster----and a program with looming sanctions .....and he STILL remains the coach that took us to our last few tournaments.

We went from the hardest working coach in the country----to the laziest ---a true con/charlatan/fraud.

A coach that would literally get sick after a loss---to a coach that told us to get used to losing----that MEMPHIS' better days were behind

There is no doubt in my mind that Pastner would have righted the ship and returned MEMPHIS to prominence

All that being said----Penny will get the job done---and we will go dancing this year

Pastner would have continued along the same path at Memphis as he did at Georgia Tech. He would continued trending down, and would have MAYBE made the tournament this year after missing it for 7 years in a row. In between, attendance would have been at Tubby levels and it would have cost 4X more to keep him than to fire him.

He was under appreciated when he was here, but he had to go. It is one thing to repeat the same ignint line over and over. It is entirely another to be ignint about everything.
