RE: Rescheduling Possibilities
Actual problem is the rules. Covid is less likely to cause serious illness among this 25 & under age group than the flu. These rules are set for political reasons & have nothing to do with health of the players or the program. There is ample evidence of side-effects related to the vaccine, more than enough to give a young, healthy athlete pause. And most important, mandatory covid vaccines were not a requirement when these guys signed their scholarships. Agree, as a fan, I hate to see games canceled. So set rational, reasonable rules that actually follow the science.

They want a home game.
And we are in the same boat as their opponent who had to cancel.

Oh I definitely agree the rules were set to entice players into getting vaccinated.

Logically they don't make a ton of sense...If you test negative, you test negative. Yeah there is a delay between contraction and testing validity and Non-vaxed players are more likely to get it...But the dramatic difference in timeframes just doesn't make sense.

We don't need it...

If Tech and Houston stay Q1 games we can sustain 4 more losses in conference and conf. tourney and still comfortably make the tourney.

I'm sure they'll rush down to play a team of unvaccinated players.

If their vaccinated why would it matter?

One reason is that the next time someone tests positive all but the four players that are vaccinated will get knocked out by contact tracing and Memphis won’t be able to play and there aren’t many teams worth scheduling that are going to agree too add us when there is a good probability we’ll have to cancel.

Depends who we lose 4 to. I don't think we lose four more times in conference. This team has the ability to get red hot now.

Have we ever rescheduled a game? We have a hard enough time getting a real game with anybody…..I don’t think we try very hard.

RE: Rescheduling Possibilities
We're down 2 games now. Schedule a home and home with a top 100 team. UCLA 8, CSU 35, FSU 40, Louisville 52, GaTech 107, Georgetown 116, etc. Just pick one, call them and it's done. Any team who's down 2 games would love a clean, fair, simple home and home.

Careful. Some of these geniuses who think they should be running the football program AND the response to Covid get kind of grouchy when you point out THEIR ignorance of basic English.

Theres a naval base there. Give the squids a few days to make a team... you know they got 22 or more dudes that played ball in the day. We'd probably be the underdogs.

I'd watch that.
