White was exponentially great with a great offensive line, and exponentially not great with a not great offensive line. The new quarterback will almost for sure not be as accurate, but all 3 are much better runners and will also be able to buy more time in the pocket.

I suppose we’ll see. We won 8 games last year with no running game… riding the back of a senior QB who could check us into the right offense and complete passes even when defenses dropped 8 & managed to pressure the QB. Our oline was dreadful… so it’s asking a lot of the new group and a new QB to maintain. I hope I’m wrong, but I’m just trying to be realistic & 6-6 seems fair.

We won with a bad offensive line, a quarterback with zero mobility, lost 3,800 of receiving yardage, and lost a lot of great players. We went 8-3 during what turned out to be a rebuilding year.

Nicholls
Arkansas State 4-7
MSU 4-7
UTSA
Temple 1-6
Tulsa 7-3
Navy 3-7
UCF 6-4
SMU 7-3 H
ECU 3-6
Houston 3-5
Tulane 6-6

Why would we be an underdog to anyone except possibly UCF and Tulsa? What have the other teams done to warrant thinking that half of them will beat us?
I'll answer for the A-State game.

When anywhere close to healthy last year, they were a good team as evidenced by games with Memphis, K-State, and Louisiana, about the only games they were not devastated by COVID-you do remember that COVID thing don't you? It kicked their butt, especially in the trenches after their game with you.

They return the majority of that team, helped their underachieving HC fined another home, and hired a better one.

They were going to be a better team this year without any additions, and more than a handful for the Tigers at their place anyway, but old Butch did not stand pat and added 50+ newbies this week, and included were the following:

Thurman Geathers -DE (Louisville)
Te'Vailance Hunt-WR (TCU)
James Blackman-QB (FSU)
AJ Acock- QB (LSU)
Allen Walters- QB (Miss St)
Akeem Hayes- WR (Kentucky)
Jack Combs- WR (Iowa)
Johnnie Lang- RB (Iowa State)
Nick Lewis- OL (Kentucky)
John Mincey- DL (Tenn)
Kivon Bennett- DL (Tenn)
Tim Hardiman- DL (Navy)
Charles Willekes- DL (Mich St)
Quay Mays- DL (West Virginia)
Scooby Carter- CB (Alabama)
Khyheem Waleed-WR (Boise)

The COVID virus ended their 9 years of winning records and bowl games, but it was going to start again this year without these additions. If you get out of Jonesboro with a win it will shock me. 03-lmfao01-wingedeagle

The Boise of the South...and so it begins.
