A lot of guys coaching CBB did not play at this level- Bryce Drew (brother did), Chris Beard, Rick Pitino, Richard Pitino, Bruce Pearl, Roy Williams, Mark Few... a bunch of others were walk-ons who rarely of ever played.

I was being a bit tongue-n-cheek w doss. I don't care if as assistant coach ever played college ball or a head coach for that matter. Can he coach/lead young men? Can he be a great support to the head coach? That's all that matters.
