It seems like everyone who has crossed paths with Wes Miller goes out of their way to say glowing things about him. One of his former players was actively commenting in the live chat during the YouTube intro press conference -- called him the best coach in the world, which may seem a little cheesy, but shows how much his former players love him. This guy seems to win over everyone in his presence. He's got me fired up too.

I say all of the above realizing we are in the honey moon phase right now. Trying not to get too far ahead of myself, but this hire (referring to Wes) feels so energizing.

Agreed, too hard to make judgements so early on but since Wes has been hired I would give him a solid A thus far. It is a big deal to bring Saunders and Madsen back from the portal and Newman looks to be a strong addition on the wing assuming he's fully recovered from his injuries.
Wes missed on Tari, but of all the Cincy transfers in the portal, Tari had the largest and most quality list of suitors. I don't knock Wes too hard on that. We also don't have a center on the roster (aside from Lahkin) which I think played heavily into Tari choosing LSU. He clearly doesn't want to play the 5 and we can't guarantee that he won't with our current roster construction.
Hopefully, we can land some quality frontcourt players in the portal.

LePore will likely be support staff... i.e. Director of Player Personnel or Recruiting Director. Don't think he's going to be a bench coach.

I was being a bit tongue-n-cheek w doss. I don't care if as assistant coach ever played college ball or a head coach for that matter. Can he coach/lead young men? Can he be a great support to the head coach? That's all that matters.

Doss has been taking shots at Coach Miller ever since he was hired. He must be either an Erik Martin guy or a Brannen guy. No matter what, this fan base just can never be united.

I was wondering about that. Wes said he wants 2 guys he has worked with before and a 3rd from outside and he is open to any former UC player who has the resume for the gig. Was hoping someone like Demarr might throw his hat in the ring.
With Roberts and Dre Morgan rumored to be on board pending UC clearance, those are already 2 guys who used to coach with Wes.

He also had said that none of his assistants we're coming from UNCG in a coaching role. Maybe support but not as an assistant. I am interested in who will be his last assistant and in who will be his weight guy, with that job having turned over twice in the past year or so.
