How exactly is he going to recruit at the high major level in the midwest?

wes miller is the best option of the 5 that are seen as legitimate. its not even close (martin, miller, gates, nored and pedon)

miller just finished #2 in the unc job search.... half of the comments on this news is "why would he take the cincy job"..
he isnt the perfect hire, obvious blemishes (basically another brannen hire) .... the other 4 have worse blemishes.. and he has the biggest recruiting edge as he can get uncG players to transfer to Cincy as a gap filler.. also recruiting has never been the problem for coaches jumping up, but rather if their system will work at this level

1) miller- winning head coaching experience -averaging 25 wins the last 5 years.. (would have been more without covid stuff)

2) pedon- known as great recruiter in ohio. assistant to very good teams.. no head coaching experience, ohio state has been good not great - if he is bringing in their system

3) gates- 2 years HC experience, Florida state disciple.. amazing human being.. great defense, player play hard for him... offense was terrible, not that much hc experience.. his team at CSU only won because it played in a terrible league, even a better mid major like the mac they are bottom half

4) martin- no head coaching experience, no experience as even a top assistant.. coming from a respectable team, bringing NVA.. familar with cincy

5) nored- no real experience in college, no ties to recruiting, young, ..nba coaching experience but only 2.5 years on a not great team.. seems personable and smart from interviews
