Broering is the nku color guy and runs the xu insider sight. He was a huge brannen guy Skinny is a UK guy. It's not uc podcast. I listened to the same pod. Chad was not as definitive as your indicated and acknowledged the university may have information we don't have.

The bolded sentence is the key part in all of this for me right now. We don't know everything that went on in the basketball program, and it is possible there is a bombshell that hasn't come to light. Our AD has played everything extremely close to the vest, and as a compliance guru with a law degree, I find it hard to believe he would fire with cause if he doesn't believe he has a strong case. There have been a few rumors floating around regarding Brannen doing things against the medical staff's wishes. That would be a big deal, especially in the time of COVID, and something like that could definitely be justifiable as firing with cause.

I understand the optics aren't great right now, but it's really easy to jump to conclusions without having all the facts. FYI, I wasn't in favor of firing Brannen based on what we know so far. I wasn't very happy with the direction of the program after all the transfers, but I felt he deserved at least one more year, as he has been dealt a pretty terrible hand overall. But if any of the medical stuff is true, I'm on the side of our AD. We'll see what happens.
