cincy is LITERALLY trying to make him out to be an abuser and cheater simply to get out of a contract, something that will likely ruin his career and earning potential for his family

we are drawing some weird lines on morality right now

Weird, please show me the quotes where UC has said or insinuated any of that.

Let's take a look at where we stand. UC is remaining quiet, not discussing details, proceeding matter of factly, and moving on. Brannen is taking the game to the streets, releasing personal communications, talking about chain of command, really talking about anything other than the alleged violations (which came via former players and parents, not UC).

I'm not nearly important enough to be privy to these types of the actual factual details, so we'll see and time will tell. But I'm smart enough to read the situation so far. You tell me which of those courses of action seems like they have more of the facts on their side...

your admin publicly suspended him (before any lawyer statements, i checked all the dates yesterday)..in the statement today, said he had to be let go for the well being of the student athletes (setting the frame work for cause case, and that portrays him in a certain way) --lets not pretend everyone is stupid and doesn't know whats going on because they didnt directly say it

Norlander noted UC has been trying to fire him with cause for a while now... says it has been the "worst kept secret"...
then people within the athletic program (the medical staff that work for UC) are sending out information to the media

remove how you feel about him as a coach, put your self in his shoes, what should he have done??? im genuinely curious your response .
note: Brannen has already publicly said, he wanted to keep the job, he was fully willing to corporate with any investigation and wanted to have open dialogue with the AD.. the AD is the one that refused contact, and kept them out of most of the investigation

if you are Brannen what would you do- really, give me a real answer...

a) stay quiet and wait for UC to manipulate something into you being an abuser or cheater, and fire you, where no one could hire you ?

b) take no buyout and quit meaning you have no income to support your family, even though the contractually you are supposed to be supported?

c) privately fight back with lawyers, even though that wont save your job or your public perception?

something i find interesting is that UC fans think the lawyer is bad and the one ruining things and taking low blows.. he is a major lawyer with a proven track record.. if im honest, outside of uc circles (that has a bias)... no one is on UC's side. Brannen might actually have a chance to survive this and get another job because of lawyers talking to the media..

No one outside of Cincinnati cares. This will be off the news cycle by sunday night. We'll have a coach in next week and discussion will turn to Eason, Saunders and whatever recruits the new guy brings in.

And of course Brannen wanted to keep this job. He produced our worst team in 15 years, drove off an entire freshman class and had no one coming in. THOSE are the fact in this case. He's not sniffing a job at this level for a loooong time. Whether it's for cause or not - the results on the court and recruiting are damning enough for any future employers.
