The ASUN’s football dreams seem wrecked. They just added a 12th member who doesn’t sponsor football which leaves them with just 5 football schools and no room to offer full membership to a potential member.

EKU clearly only sees this as a stepping stone to their real goal of FBS. So they can hardly be relied on for the long haul.

If I’m UCA I’m looking to move back to the Southland or with a friend or friends to the OVC.

Matt addressed this 10 or so posts before yours. UCA still wants nothing to do with the Southland.

I think they're a bit delusional, but that's the stance there.

Ok. So the Southland is out but the OVC could be an alternative to the unstable ASUN situation for UCA:

let’s say the OVC brings UCA and Austin Peay in as full members and offer UNA and Kenn St football affiliate status:

East: Moorehead St*, Tenn Tech, Tenn St, Austin Peay, UT Martin, USI*
West: UALR*, UCA, SEMO St, SIUE*, Lindenwood, EIU

They’d have 12 for basketball and 10 for football with the 2 affiliates.
