FWIW, the Gulf Coast League in minor league baseball is no longer called that. They renamed it the Florida Complex League last year.

Major League Baseball originally did not secure the IP to all of the former minor leagues, which is why we had "Florida Complex League" and "Triple A East". The original league names should be restored for the 2023 season.

They've already brought back the names of the 11 AAA, AA, A+, and A leagues. In any case, Gulf Coast Conference isn't being used anymore. I imagine that's what the Southland will go with.
