West Texas A&M is by far the most ready, but is that trip a non-starter for the 5 budget-strapped LA schools?

I see the LA-5 (+ TX-3?) passing over WTAMU for someone like Commerce for that reason.
WT is a better fit for the WAC. Tarleton, Abilene and New Mexico State are former conference mates and closer.

In theory are they dragging their feet on WAC until the others end up in the Southland?
