Unless you are at a true mid-major, it is very difficult for a high-major head coach to leave for another, after you have proven to get to the top of the mountain with the resources/team you presently have.

I struggle to come up with the last time a Final Four head coach left their job for another one. Roy Williams (Kansas to UNC), maybe?

Ol' Roy is probably the most recent, but he's the second one to do it by leaving Kansas. Larry Brown (of course it was him) left KU to become the San Antonio Spurs coach after KU won the NCAA tournament in 1988.

Rick Pitino (another non-surprise) left Kentucky after their loss in the 1997 NCAA title game to become the Boston Celtics coach.
