Why waste that option on a free year? There is absolutely zero reasons to redshirt when a waiver is already in place from the NCAA this year.

I think the suggestion is without considering the uniqueness of this season, and without considering the waiver. For certain, there's absolutely no reason to rush back this year. But, if he's healthy and not at any greater risk by playing, the action would be good for him.


Live action never hurts, until it does. I agree if he is 100% he should get back to live action regardless of when given the situation this year
