No one in here knows the reason he's leaving, other than what he said in this article. But again, he's trying to sell himself because he believes that he is ready for the next level. Just like any football player thinks they got an honest shot at the NFL, no matter how true or false that is.

With all this hate on Marmion, looking at their recent success, it appears they've had some quality people come out of that school. Not only did Kramer come from there, but the Glasgow brothers, Brad Chlidress and our very own Huskie legend Larry English. Who cares that a kid went there, instead of one of the top performing Naperville schools? Him and his family had their reasons, we can't assume he's some screw up who needed a kick in the ass. From what we can see, he is a kid who was a contributing member of the MAC Championship squad who probably already has his degree in hand.

Sucks he's leaving, as it sucks that anyone is leaving our great program. But as we've all come to realize, it's life. So wish him well, and may we all get behind the next monster who steps into that spot on the Huskie defense. No need to be bitter about anything.

I'm from Batavia, I have friends who went to Marmion, and a nephew who played football graduated from there last year. Marmion is not a reform school. It is not the kind of place kids who are in trouble get sent. Not to say that there aren't a few kids here and there that might end up there for that kind of reason, but it definitely not the norm. It is EXPENSIVE! It is a school for people who want to have their kids have a very specific kind of educational situation. Upper middle class, small class sizes, a lot of structure, a focus on Catholicism, and a strict curriculum. Also, as someone else mentioned above, it has an ROTC program that is tops in the Chicagoland area.
