In keeping with Mandel's point, 2020 non-semi-final NY6 games:
Peach Bowl Cincinnati vs UGA 8.xx million viewers
Orange Bowl UNC vs Texas A&M 7.58 million
Fiesta Bowl ISU vs Oregon 6.68 million
Cotton Bowl UF vs Oklahoma 5.77 million

I'd say it was an advantage playing on New Year's Day, and as the lead-in to the two playoff games.

Georgia is often a big TV draw, their CFP title game vs Alabama is easily the highest-rated one since the first one. And undoubtedly many were interested in how unbeaten Cincy would fare in a big bowl game. But impressive any way you slice it.
