NAU? Close to GCU. SUU or Weber State? Southern Utah hasn't received an invite and I don't see either leaving a conference they've had success in.

We haven’t considered Southland members. I’ve posted previously that SFA and Lamar could upgrade their basketball status by jumping to the WAC. But they wouldn’t be willing to hurt their football programs in the process. It would have to be part of a larger scheme to establish a full-fledged WAC FCS conference with an auto-bid.

If I were to pick Southland, I'd go with the two geographical outliers in ACU and UIW. Though the full fledged FCS conference with auto bid still applies.

Looking at a combination of factors — geography, stadium capacity, football attendance, arena capacity, basketball attendance, and athletic budget — I think the most appealing Southland additions would be ACU, SFA, Lamar and Sam Houston State.

UIW makes sense from geographic and budget perspectives but their facilities are sub-par and their fan support is poor.

I started at the beginning of this thread to see how long it took before the Tx4 were mentioned as expansion targets. Mongoose gets a trophy or sumthin for mentioning all four schools back in post #73.
