If we choose to attend a game, that should be our choice as American adults. Going to Walmart or Lowes is an adult decision to take the risk. I am tired of the nanny state telling us what is best for us when they do not even know themselves. Pretty sure COVID football rules might be what sparks the revolution. lol

Yeah, on the same argument it should be our choice as American adults to drink drive.

The masks primarily protect others from you if you are infectious ... as anyone could be without knowing it, given that its infectious while asymptomatic and presymptomatic. Taking a risk to kill yourself is one thing, taking a risk to kill someone at random, whether a stranger or friend or family ... that is something else.

If you keep a social distance, you are doing the same thing. And these masks most people have don't help much.

Incorrect. Here's a demonstration from the New England Journal of Medicine at how effective even a simple cloth mask is at keeping water droplets from being sprayed:

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2007800

Furthermore, you are not required to attend a football game (or any sporting event). Just like they have a right to say "no shirt, no shoes, no service," they also have a right to say "if you want to attend a game in our stadium, you have to wear a mask." Pretty simple, actually...

There seems to be a great deal of misinformation about the use of masks. If you only consider the wearer, a cloth mask doesn't protect him very well. However, it does protect everyone else... So logically, if everyone wears a mask then everyone will be protected - but if only a few refuse to wear masks, no one is.
