RE: Will there be a football season?
Flu season has to be the worst time of the year to start playing your COVID-19 delayed season. But as the Big 10 decides just that, seems Rice is reversing the opposite way and unlikely to play this season. Not a shocking turn of events tbh.

I'm no scientist, but this kind of virus survives better in colder months. It's also harder to go outside when it's cold af, people gather indoors with dryer air. There will be spikes and that will put more pressure on no football at Rice, especially by academia if social distancing exceptions are made to play football football and not to teach. Unlike teaching, Football brings people from other states even if no fans, it involves contact, it's not great for controlling the spread of the virus and so I get people who are not into football being angry at possibility of sports. Just hoped we could arrange it a smart way and that things would improve. Things may be worse in Houston than in NC, I don't know, but to not even be practicing when Duke is playing actual games already is disappointing. I'm not optimistic we'll play any games; Michigan has a better chance.
