OO, this isn't directed at you, but your hyperlink (and the way the article frames this) is one of the problems with COVID-19 reporting and decision making. There are so many unknowns still (a lot less than back in March/April), that people should really be wary of working in absolutes, as new information and changes in public health outcomes can change quickly and affect those decisions.

Framing this as a "reverse" or (as the article puts it) "stepping back from its leadership’s decision" presents the decision as one where new information wasn't considered, or plans weren't changed.

But that could also be because of how emphatic the commissioner was when the Big 10 made the initial decision to cancel the fall seasons "would not be revisited."

Gosh, it feels directed at me. But no matter. I just thought this was news that would be important in the sub-area of college football. Sorry I stepped on your Covid toes.

I was commenting on how news is framed - the article you posted is very relevant, and I was talking specifically about the chosen hyperlink text.

I assumed you weren't trying to comment on the Big 10s decision to change course, but rather just posting the article via hyperlink. That's why I said I wasn't directing the comment at you - sorry if it came off that way. You definitely didn't step on my "COVID toes," and I tried not to do so on yours. I was just side barring about something that your post made me think about.
