Hofstra is 14.08 points in the overall Sagarin and 17.68 points better in KenPom without home court, so I'm surprised Hofstra wasn't favored by more than 14. I'm not saying Hofstra will win by more than 14, just that I'm surprised the spread wasn't bigger. You need a better start than you had at Northeastern. Hofstra scores a lot, and because they rank tied for 47th of 353 in fewest turnovers per game (from the NCAA which didn't update after yesterday when not many teams played) and 9th in free throw percentage, it's hard to come back at the end if Hofstra gets fouled and makes 2 free throws. Of Hofstra's seven losses, five are by at least 8, and the two losses by 2 were not games in which Hofstra's opponent trailed and had to foul.

If Hofstra loses a close game, I'll blame Mihalich for using the bench for only 3:13 or 3:17 (something like that) of the 100 second half minutes in a win by 13 when Hofstra led by at least 6 for all of the second half and knew they had a game under 48 hours later. Isaac Kante's 276 is the fewest by a Hofstra scorer, but it's still more than the 219 bench points. Hofstra scores 76.6 per game. Hofstra's bench scores 37.9 per 200 minutes, which is under half of that.
