Oh crap! I was mistaken and looked it up again. Jon Gilbert graciously extended his contract until January of 2022. So effectively he's still under contract for the next TWO seasons. That makes it even less likely that he will be fired this year. I can't see the athletic department taking on the burden of paying off 1 million in compensation to him. I even question if they would do it at 500k.

We got rid of Ellis at $2.1 million. One road game takes care of that. It should have been announced already.
