But I think we now have enough evidence to show that, for whatever reason, he can't get the job done on the FBS level.

A team that can get up and play toe to toe with UVA and Va Tech but nearly lose to Norfolk State and drop games like we have the last few weeks has a problem, and it's not all the players.

I would thank Wilder for his time and I appreciate all that he did and hope, in time, most ODU fans will.

But it's time to move on.
If by some miracle chance ODU got to a bowl, I would probably be OK, albeit grudgingly, with keeping him (because if they go from 1-4 to a bowl, then something very good happened in the second half of the season). Understanding that it's very unlikely at this point, and the trend line has been down for a while now, I think I'm finally on board too. All the while hoping that there IS that miracle something that they can build on for the future.

BW's biggest strength is his enthusiasm and positivity. Maybe there's another start-up program that can use his skill set. Though it doesn't appear there's any D1 programs starting up in the near future. Maybe VCU will finally go in!

I will understand if we move on. We all owe Wilder a great deal for bringing the program from nothing to now being in FBS with a new stadium. The hardest part of building a team was done.

But, there is always a timeframe for when coaches should be at a program and at times it is time to move on. I don't think a change in coaches is going to change the product on the field until more resources are dedicated to the program (including significant raises for the assistants), but I hope the new coach is a good representative for the program as Bobby is.

People tweeting negative stuff at Bobby (and the players) are absolute morons though. Just think about that for a second and use some logic.
