Because CFB is so driven by massive statewide followings, any program that has a 70k+ seater is essentially a blue blood.

That means most of the B1G and almost all the SEC has to be regarded as blue blood.

P5s will also get temporary blue blood status like Oregon and Miami Fl when are national contenders. However when they are down, they are out.

Tennessee is down and still picks up 4 star recruits and plays in a 100k seater. Down but never really out.
