Of course they want the waiver. There's no way they're going to get it though.

They want their cake for breakfast lunch and dinner. They want to keep their current ESPN contract, keep a championship game and not have to add anybody.

Agree, but a denial means the AAC will be forced to choose the least bad option. I have no idea the odds of waiver approval or the best option upon denial.

A championship game is paramount.
