Vacationed out in California last year. Visit the USS Iowa at Long Beach, my dad was a medical officer on her during the Korean Conflict...proud UC grad.
Stayed in Glendale and visited the sites to include the Rose Bowl while in the LA area all very nice but crowded. San Francisco again crowded, but the homeless crowd is off the track too unruly...eating on fisherman's wharf and individual ask to take the plate away and it was a homeless person..walked with the unfinished portion.

Woooooow. That's equal parts ballsy, and innovative.

SF homeless are on a whole other level.

I admit, if I had the money, I would move to a SoCal city like San Francisco or San Diego in a heartbeat. The weather and quality of life are incredible. But yeah, SF does have a huge homeless problem... ever heard of the Poop Patrol?

What's stopping you now? Honest question. I could find a job and move out there within the month, if I wanted. Maybe being an engineer has spoiled my outlook on how hard it is to move. I hear/read that people would love to move to XYZ, all the time. I just never understand why they don't.
