I was told that Damari was getting his lunch eatin most days in practice from Brown Mikey and JJ who were all on the scout team. Also Jovan has been compared to Russell by some. I think there are some similarities but he is still an incoming freshman. I'd expect some 4 guard line ups for GCU this next year if this is mostly the make up of the team. I also think Damari's dad had a lot to do with his transferring out.

It has been an odd off season in the WAC so far. Both UVU and UMKC have new coaches and are in rebuilding mode. GCU cleaned house of its' coaching staff under Majerle; and, now is trying to regain its recruiting legs. The WAC has a lot of its top supposed returning players transferring out... Matej Kavas, Jarkel Joiner, Jake Toolson, Xavier Bishop, Damari Milstead, Cameron Bowles, Mike Henn... In all 38 WAC players have transferred.
