I'll go with $4 million per team per year. And before anyone jumps on my case, just know that my prediction for the MWC is only $3 million per team per year. I'm just not an optimist when it comes to ESPN (or any of the networks) paying substantially increased rights fees to any G5 conferences. There's too much supply and not enough demand in the market to drive up the numbers.

I hope I'm wrong.

When both the UConn men and women won the national championships in basketball in 2014, it was easy to see that the AAC was worth a lot more than $2 million per school. The non-conference scheduling has been impressive for a G5 conference. How does Temple get a home game against Notre Dame? Notre Dame at Navy games will be on the AAC platform starting in 2020. Adding Wichita State was smart.

If ESPN offered $4 million per school, they would be offering an amount that they should have been paying on the current contract. They know Aresco had no leverage on the current deal. I think ESPN needs to offer $100 million per year to the AAC or about $8 million per school. They do not want to see Notre Dame at Navy on Fox.

NFL stadium in a big East Coast city. Perfect for what ND wants.
