It’s called coaching. When Few retires, Gonzaga will be able to attract a top coach because they’ve building their brand since the late 90’s. Gonzaga is to basketball what Boise State is to football. Both are in the middle of nowhere, their cities are not easy to get to and have to leave their states to recruit.

Few is a great coach and excellent talent evaluator.

The thought of playing Syracuse petrifies me. Syracuse has had our number in the tournament regardless of seeding. Boeheim is one of those coaches (like Coach K, Roy Williams, and Tom Izzo) that only need to make the tournament. Once they get in they know how to play it: short-term preparation, in-game pressure, travel, etc.

Few is great at what he does but the future without Few seems bleak. If we don't get our championship with him, it'll be difficult to lure a similarly great coach to Spokane, Washington to coach in the West Coast Conference.

Hopefully it's not like Houston without Guy Lewis bad, until now of course.
