It should be in the ballpark.

Wonder how they will feel about that. E.g., in 2012, USF and Cincy and UConn were the only schools in the country that got demoted in a conference sense. If this happens, they will be the only schools that haven't gotten an effective raise from a new media deal.

At 6-8 million per team, those former Big East members would finally be getting a media deal that pays them more than they were making from media in the old Big East. If the AAC gets 10 million a team, I think that would roughly meet what the all-sports team were offered and rejected in April of 2011.

IIRC, we (the Big East) were offered between $12m and $13m per school in April 2011, but maybe this new deal will reach those heights too, we just have to wait and see.

In the end, however a school feels about the deal, they will reconcile themselves to that reality however they have to. Because it will be the reality, good or bad.

My point was just that different schools are differently situated so might have different reactions. Obviously, at extremes, we can expect a consensus opinion. E.g., if the new deal is for the same money as the old one, everyone will be unhappy. If it is for 8-digits or more, everyone will be very happy.

But in between, it could be that some are happy and others are not.
