The only ones who know for sure what would happen if UConn decided they wanted to pull their basketball team(s) from the AAC and put them in the Big East are the 12 presidents of the other AAC schools (at least two of whom, namely USF and UCF, are at this time unidentified as of July 1). Anybody else who says "XXX is what will happen" is providing conjecture.

Further clouding things is exactly what UConn would do under these circumstances. Would they insist on remaining in FBS, with the higher expenses? Or would they move to FCS, thereby obviating any discussion of AAC membership? Again, the only one who knows is UConn's incoming president, who was only named 2 weeks ago.

So if 3 of the decision makers in all of this haven't even started their jobs yet, how can anybody say with any degree of certainty that they know how things will play out?

lol...you're on a realignment fan bulletin board---you were expecting it to be all university presidents and TV executives? Of course its all conjecture.

University presidents and TV executives, not to mention coaches and athletic departments, regularly monitor fan boards extensively. If you didn't know this by now, now you are informed.
