CBSSN seems to have a pretty good working partnership with ESPN. They buy tons of MAC content off of ESPN and have for several years now. It must be cheaper for them to buy the games they want from ESPN instead of bidding directly for the rights.

But I expect that ESPN is going to push to build up ESPN+. AAC and CBS-SN may want to protect themselves with this contract from the AAC-on-CBS-SN games going to ESPN+
