This is the truth. It should haunt Huskie fans for awhile that a team with a defense as great as NIU was not associated with a top 25 team. That Utah game is a perfect encapsulation of the season, and a reminder of what could have/should have been.

You know NIU wasn't projected to win the MAC right? They actually overexceeded expectations by winning the West and later the conference. Utah ended up being ranked and won the PAC 12 South....

The stupidity continues. We weren’t even the favorite in the MAC West, but, you suggest we had the potential to be top 25. That is completely irrational. To get in the top 25 we would have needed to go no worse than 11-1. With the non-conference schedule, that is just a ludicrous opinion.
