Donations. Its not that big of a project. Doesn't included interior lodges or anything.

Ohio receives more donations in a typical year than what some MAC's have in endowment.

According to the OU Foundation website, the university receives an average of $40 million in annual contributions. The smallest endowment in the MAC is Eastern Michigan at $78 million (which is bad!). All others are at $200 million and above, with most above $400 million.

NIU is at 99.2 million. Bowling Green at 155.7 million. Kent State 138 million.

OU has increased its endowment by an additional 200 million+ just since the start of the pandemic. In a totally different league.

I'm a huge fan of the university, Hocking Hills, Meigs Gold Bud, the Marching 110, and Jackie O's Beer, but OU's annual donations still aren't more in a typical year than "what some MAC's have in endowment" and Peden isn't being expanded.

If you are doing 45-50 million a year in donations without even having a campaign compared to universities that have a total endowment of 75-150 million your just on a different level.

Ohio last expanded its FB stadium capacity in 2018. The stadium has been expanded 4 times since 1986 contrary to the downsizing trends in the MAC. Frank Solich was retained by the staff to help fundraise.
