I would also assume it's a size issue. There's no need to renovate a 70K seat(I'm guessing what Qualcomm was) stadium when you can build something more suitable to the need.

I'm not familiar with the lay of the land in San Diego, but I've never heard anything other than it being a very nice community. I hope the new site takes advantage of whatever amenities are available.

That and with the Chargers leaving town, I'm hoping SDSU has a golden opportunity to really build a large city-wide fan base.
