I’ll probably get flamed for this, but what’s up with the literal interpretation of sponsoring the board? Why did someone think including the words Video Board was a good thing? Like, why not just make the corporate logo bigger & assume people understand what that large screen object is?

No idea. It's weird. I completely agree with your assessment. But while we're on the subject, why is JMUs mascot named Duke Dog? We all know it's a dog representing the JMU Dukes. Why not call him Sammy Duke after his namesake or Spike or something other than the literal explanation of what the mascot is?
