RE: Trustees to consider contracts for...
Well, if you’re trying to cater to fans in this state. Dont play fcs teams at all, really. Don’t play Thursday games against unranked teams that aren’t conference rivals in good position to win conference divisions or titles. Don’t kickoff at 6 o’clock. Don’t kickoff(or tip off) at 8 o’clock. This game has no opportunity to be picked up for tv.

They’ll have an sec game likely kickoff at 6 or 7 on espn, probably a better sunbelt or aac matchup start on espn 2 followed by an acc game. Then a pac 12game to close out the evening. nobody legit watches fox sports or cbs sports network on this night, but I’m sure they’ve filled that with better games than UAB/Savannah State in an empty legion field at possibly 6pm.

Now, give a good reason why this game for opening weekend isn’t setup to be an absolute attendance disaster. Just because we’re in the top tv market for CFB doesn’t mean they are even willing to stay home and watch us for free, Savannah State doesn’t even bring interest. More annoyance that this game would be an option for those particular ppl to watch than anything.
