On Defense last season, the Rockets had only one All MAC player and it was 2nd team. Particularly problems at DE and LB. These are talent issues and how far they go down the depth chart. I'm the guy that watches Rocket FB games over and over. Problems have been very apparent through out the season. Rockets benefitted from a weak MAC last season, so its weaknesses weren't as glaring during Conference play. Candle and staff have certainly addressed these issues in recruiting. I expect the Rockets to be a more dominant team over the next few seasons and the program taking another big step after winning the MACC. I don't see Candle as a HC that will be satisfied with just MACC's. Go R-R-R-Rockets!!!

As respectfully as possible, you're saying a team can buy their way out of failure. We got destoyed because the coaching failed. And any claim otherwise is to place blame on players who are working their azzes off for meals and tuition. Buck stops. Only improvement in X's and O's and motivating talent solves what happened that day.

What YOU are proposing presumes the other guy is not improving too and in this case, the other guy, according to every recruiting profile ever, did NOT have as good a set of chess players. They had better people moving them around and BTW, that will attract better players.

SKUNK, SKUNK, SKUNK. There are those fans saying that bowl game meant nothing. This is not a mentality that attracts talent, regardless the recent class. Leaders, the coaches IMO need to stand up in front of people and say how THEY were deficient. Recognition of failure, acceptance of responsibility for that failure and how it will be prevented in the future is how to gain the confidence of people that the same mistakes will not reoccur. Presuming that one can buy their way out of failure, IMO does not.

You only have to look at FAU to see you can virtually change your program overbite through recruiting. UCF got their butt kicked by Ark State in their 2016 Bowl game, how 'd they make out this season? After this beating, they pulled in #55 and AAC's #1 signing class.
