Yea, the players have quit on Applewhite. If Houston would have hired (insert random coach), their superior talent, program and conference advantage would have ensured a Houston victory.

no one but west is tripping on the applewhite hire, no one is saying the players quit...my point was even the opposite, the players weren't mad, actually seemed happy when the game was over. the outcome of this game didnt seem to bother them much..a lot of great season, see ya'll next year tweets like 10 mins after the game

I have noticed the Hawaii effect with BSU. Seemed like a vacation when they played ECU and Oregon state. It's a good vacation for the players. A few years back Fresno got trucked by smu.

Interesting you mention that. Boise played there back to back in ‘07 vs Hawaii to end the season and then against ECU in the bowl game. Hawaii is old hat to MWAC teams compared to teams that rarely if ever get to play there.

BSU went from the fiesta bowl to The Hawaii bowl. BSU did travel a lot going to the rock 2 times that year which could have added fatigue opposed to teams from cusa 2.0 who only went once.
