There is no such thing, in any conference, before the fact. That's why it's on you, as the defender, to come up with solid evidence supporting their inclusion.

“My conversations with Chicago State indicate that the institution is committed to remaining at the Division I level, it’s committed to the WAC, and as it moves on, it’s internally structuring itself so it can handle the challenges that it has from a budget situation and from an enrollment situation,” Hurd said. “Obviously, those have to improve. But I don’t have any reason to believe today that they won’t improve.”

Now that the Illinois State budget has been approved and there will be money flowing to schools in Illinois, the issues that Chicago State faces can be addressed. One thing not mentioned in this article is "the contract." It only comes up on this board.
