Hey, I'm for it. Even as an FCS conference I'd rather be in a group of small-state northern flagships than whatever the Big Sky is. And it would be nice to align with schools who have the wherewithal to at least think about moving up at some point.

But I've talked to enough Montana people over the years to believe it likely won't happen. I don't understand the attachment to the Big Sky, but I do acknowledge it exists.

Montana had the chance to be in a FBS football conference with Idaho. They declined.
