If the 24,000 number is correct for football, there are ways to increase that with temporary bleacher seating and even standing room only in roped off areas. We do this (temp bleachers) for some soccer games on campus and have several bleachers ready to errect for each home soccer match. I'm pretty sure they can be ordered and put in on a temporary basis. You probably have close to enough seats right now if the 24,000# is accurate. Both AF and us normally average less than 30,000 each year. But you would have to make sure there are enough concessions, bathrooms etc though. But those are easy to get. Just get some renta-jons and the use of tents to sell a lot of hotdogs and soda. It can be done. If the stands are solid and the field is smooth, it'll be fine. It would be nice to make it an annual event if things work out.
