Central Florida (a fellow AAC member) makes over $1m per year on their stadium deal in an agreement that was signed back in 2006. Hell, Akron makes $750,000 per year on combined rights for the stadium ($500K) and the field ($200K).

And the idea of "program changing money" is a silly standard; $1m per year would go a long way towards retaining top-quality assistants in revenue sports, increasing recruiting budgets, etc. No school in UC's position should be turning that kind of money down, period.

Wow, that amount actually surprises me. Yeah a million a year is nothing to sneeze at if you are in UC's unenviable position. Hell maybe they could sell the rights on a yearly basis then if/when we got into a bigger conference they could go back to Nippert.

My overall feeling is that nothing should be off the table revenue wise for UC. Now is not a time for nostalgia. I'm sure most UC fans would continue to call it Nippert anyways. I still call 5/3rd the "Shoe".
