I'd love to get a 5* recruit, so would the rest of the league, none of whom have to the best of my knowledge. The fact that WKU, under this coach, has makes me (and actual CBB coaches) suspicious.

If any of us had the answers, we'd be making $500k+ per year as a government employee. They need to figure out how to use the rules to their advantage while staying on the legal side.

Maybe Stansbury has a strategy we could look at. Recruit high level 2020 class kids and figure out ways within the rules to get them here in 2019. Perhaps he isn't paying the kid, but instead offering a solution that gives him a shot to play in the NBA and start making money a year earlier than if he were to play for Kansas or Kentucky.

Every time any of these kids step on the court, there is a risk of major injury. Sometimes you never get back to the confidence or ability you were at even with a minor injury. Maybe the opportunity to accelerate you career by a year provides just as much value to the kid as a cash payout and it is NOT cheating.

I don't know enough about this stuff so maybe I'm wrong. Am I?

Kids do this all the time. But, the issues are the kids have to be ready in what would have been their senior year of high school and they have to have the academics in order to graduate early.
